Coaching Staff

Coach Chip Delany joined the GWMR coaching staff in the fall of 2023.

As a rower, Chip rowed at Xavier College, the MUBC U21 & U23 team, and the Victorian State Team.

Chip has coached for the MUBC U23 team, Mercantile U21 team, Xavier College, Lauriston Girls School, and Chicago Rowing Association.

Rowed at University of Washington, coached for Pocock Rowing Center and was Head Coach of Walt Whitman Rowing.

Coach Dan joined the GWMR coaching staff in the fall of 2023. Dan grew up in the DC/Virginia area, and rowed at Wakefield High School, graduating in 2011. He then went on to row at Old Dominion University, graduating in 2015. 

He coached at Wakefield High School from 2013-2018, and has now been coaching at Gonzaga High School for 5 years. Dan has also coached at the World Rowing Championship in 2018, where he earned a bronze medal.
